Evecase gave good attention to functionality in their messenger camera bag. I was I initially attracted To the bag because it included a rain cover, and removable cushioned camera compartment. I was pleased to find that it also included a laptop cushioned insert. All in all, it is large enough to contain a full frame dslr and additional lens, laptop, tablet and tripod, although I couldn't imagine a situation you would carry all of that outside of a carry-on bag situation for air travel.However, innremoving the camera compartment for daily use of the bag for work or school really makes the bag feel flimsy and shapeless because the rigidity is all in the camera compartment insert. Wearing it to the side without my camera kit inside causes the bag to bend making it somewhat difficult to open the zippers cleanly, even with a laptop, books and papers in it, which together provides a little support.In addition the smaller pocket zipper separated a few times in the few days I owned this bag; a deal breaker for me. Lastly, it also was a little bland/generic on style once I was able to hold and see it.Although this bag has all the features I could hope for, all in all, Its not for me. I intended to use for school, work, camera sightseeing, and light travel. Yet, I don't see it enduring the rigorous, diversified activities for which I planned on having it for long.
