Not all Jeep key fobs have an automatic tailgate so I wish he had the option of not having one. Bought for my new but lightly used 2016 Jeep Renegade, the buttons on the key fob were worn to the point where almost all of the white on the buttons was missing. Got this to protect keychain. I also bought similar ones for my 2014 Grand Cherokee so the key fob is also protected. However, the GC has an automatic tailgate. So it was perfect for that.
