We had a dog escape artist and were warned when we received him that nothing would ever hold him back. That turned out to be true, he's been eating through fences and cages, he's got 80 pounds of hard muscle and he's deformed and bent all the other cages. We tie zips, chains, clips and carabiners for free. Then we got it, he never came out. He tried, I can here how he tried, but it didn't even come close. As it is, it's made of a hard material that might have paint peeling off and whatnot, but we didn't really care about looks and as long as it served its purpose, we didn't care. We love that it can sit with a vaulted ceiling
