Moss is dyed. If it comes into contact with water the dye will get over everything and stain everything it touches. No wonder the description says keep away from water, which would be strange for real, natural moss.That said, it is a pretty color that is both medium-dark and vibrant at the same time. It is handy not to have to keep it spritzed with water.I was surprised because I missed the part about keeping away from water and ruined something. Luckily it wasn’t hanging on my wall when it happened!
