I have been using Nature's Miracle in its various forms for years and it really works including this formula. I'm not sure why the manufacturers don't state this more clearly in the directions, but the trick is to coat the area so the product saturates any stain that pet urine (or whatever you're trying to clean up) gets into is. and then keep moist for a good 24 hours. Enzymes don't work on contact, they take time to break down the organic material you want to get rid of. My new cat peed on the carpet right through the lining on the sub-floor. I soaked the place in a natural wonder and then covered it with a plastic trash bag. The next day there was no trace of urine and the smell never returned. When used in this way, the product works. He has no choice. That's what enzymes do.
