Review on 🌧️ Ivation 3,000 Sq. Ft Energy Star Dehumidifier: Efficient De-humidifier for Large Rooms and Basements with Continuous Drain Hose, Humidity Control, Auto Shutoff and Restart by Robert Corral

I only gave this 4 stars because there wasn't much information in the instructions that came with it. I've asked a few questions here on Revain and would like to thank those who have replied, but I would like to clarify a few things I've learned from reading the online manual on this site. 1) The pump turns on when the bucket is almost full and only pumps out about 25% of the water. It doesn't empty it completely, so there's always water in the bucket if you don't empty it. It's okay, but it was confusing at first. 2) There is a piece of styrofoam in the float in the bucket. I asked a question about this before I found the answer. DO NOT REMOVE THIS FOAM. It is actually part of the float mechanism. It's weird that it's styrofoam, but you can see it clearly in the photos above. I still love this dryer. This is a replacement for a Hisense unit that only lasted 2 seasons. Hope this one lasts longer. It's a lot quieter than the Hisense, especially when the pump is on. When the pump is running I hardly hear a difference. It's in my basement and the pump hose goes to my sink. The block I had before Hisense was an old manual block that I had for almost 20 years. I stopped using this one just because it was so old and I wanted one that I didn't have to constantly empty. Hisense only lasted 2 years so I bought this Ivation model to replace. So far this seems like a great solution. If it goes wrong in a few years I'll come back and subtract the stars :)
