Review on Radio Flyer Stroll Trike Red by Fernando Beck

VERY poor design

I don't understand all the positive reviews unless people only care about bad design or are so used to it that they've learned to settle for mediocrity. Bottom line: As you can see by watching some reviews of this tricycle on YouTube, the adult joystick moves about 25 degrees in either direction before the tricycle starts moving. In other words, adult control (the only reason to buy this product, not a simple tricycle) swings and cannot easily control the tricycle. I contacted tech support via email and they responded positively, but overall they were unable to help. I ended up returning the tricycle for a refund (thanks Revain.com!), but even simply taking it apart was a *huge* problem. If I had known how difficult it would be to take it apart, repackage it, and send it back before I even started the process, I'd probably just throw it out and live with the $70 loss. My advice to potential buyers: If good construction is important to you, don't buy this. If you're "flexible" and don't mind bad design (and don't feel embarrassed if it does), then by all means get it. My advice to the manufacturer: Guys, I *know* you can do better and I *know* you know what I'm talking about. Even Radio Flyer tech support told me there would be 10 degrees of "sag" either way - in other words, that's how they built it. I'm an engineer and I see no reason why there could be *zero* clearance in any direction. Can you imagine if this sag problem existed in the car you were learning to drive? In other words, if you took a wrong turn, your instructor would have to turn their steering wheel *at least* 10 degrees before they would put the car back in the correct position. But no, when learning to drive, the teacher's steering wheel behaves just like the student's steering wheel, as it should be, and as Radio Flyer should be. I would have thought I would have gotten a lemon if other reviewers hadn't had their say on the matter.
