I have had aquariums for over 20 years. I have used these long handled aquarium brushes for many years. I really didn't like washing the aquarium pane. The brush didn't do its job very well and dripped water everywhere. In addition, it was inconvenient to store. Then I watched a video on YouTube about keeping fish and saw flippers. It looked way more efficient and easier to use/maintain than what I was using. I bought one for my 36 gallon front line aquarium. It seemed a little pricey for a glass scraper but after some use it's worth every penny! At first I had trouble understanding what the written instructions meant, but it might just be me. I was able to find a YouTube video that explained what was meant by rotating the handpiece to flip the scrubbing piece in my tank. After that it was very easy to use. I keep mine in my tank which is handy. The razor side does an excellent job of removing the small patches of algae that stubbornly cling to the glass, while the scraper side effortlessly removes biofilm. The magnet is strong and I have never let a part in my tank float away. My glass has never been so clean! I liked it so much that I put a smaller version on my wish list for my 10 gallon tank and got it for Christmas. I really wish I had found out about Flipper sooner. This is a much better way of cleaning glass than what I've used.
