It was a bit tricky to set up, but to be honest, routers are tricky. The more time you spend setting up a fixture or guide, the better the result will be. I really tend to distrust all the measurement manuals on the device (even if I take the time to zero them out) and I don't quite understand the measurement logic of this device. But by manually measuring my setup, I was able to get the result I wanted. I will say that although it comes with a few different screws and mounting hardware, I had to add a small washer between the screw and the router adapter plate as the screw heads on my Dewalt 618 don't fit the plastic surface snugly enough. I felt that if I put them on they would break the plastic adapter plate.
