Review on DVI2USB 3.0: Capture High-Quality Video from Any DVI, VGA, or HDMI Source at 60 fps by Timothy Castillo

We have purchased approximately 400 grippers from Epiphan. Our last order for DVI2USB 3.0 was 100 units, upgrades for over 200 pads that will be upgraded to digital and will replace the older VGA2USB LR models. We chose this product over another product called Magewell because: - The build quality is much better. - Great software - Excellent web presence and customer support (compared to the defunct Magewell). The packaging of the product is excellent and reliable. Superb build quality in an aluminum body that feels solid and reassuring. Magewell, on the other hand, literally fell apart in a closet. The customer service is excellent - I've had numerous conversations with their online support manager (aptly named "Adam Frame") who patiently fixed issues with me in a very short time. in a clear and concise way. The software is well maintained and regularly updated - easy to use and with lots of options to tweak and decent capture monitoring features. The price is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than alternative solutions. But I think the quality of the product is worth it. It's not a device if you're on a budget, but it's a device if you're looking for something extremely reliable. We've been using the previous model for over a year, shooting every day, 5 days a week - none of them have ever let me down. The only issue preventing this product from getting 5 stars is the lack of remote software installation via Group Policy. . That may not be a problem for one-time users, but it's just not enough in a business environment. We still have about 100 sites for the transition to digital technologies - in total we have more than 200 sites. This means manually updating the software on one machine at a time, which is a nightmare. The sooner they pack it with their product, the more 5 stars they get. It's actually a shame as our venues are expanding - this could seriously disrupt the deal with them in the future. I hope they can come up with something in the coming months, even weeks, as we have spent a significant amount of money on them.
