Review on KRUPS XP3208 Espresso Cappuccino 1 5 Liter by Barbara Murphy

All I wanted to do was replace my KRUPS Espresso Mini which finally met its death after over twenty years of faithful brewing. I'm a brand loyalist so the XP33208 seemed to be sticking with KRUPS and a logical replacement. It is well designed, convenient to use and easy to clean. Not sure why the KRUPS engineers equipped it with such a large water tank as it can only brew two cups at a time and has NO auto shut off. So if you're not pouring in the exact amount of water you need, this baby simply forces water through your filter until your espresso counter overflows. So if you just want a shot or a cup, better just pour that amount of water into the tank. And even then you end up with a weaker beer than you might expect as the filter baskets are of course a bit shallow compared to the mini basket. But if you love foam, you're in luck, as this setup produces enough foam for those who want to decorate the top of their mug with a fancy flourish. All in all a very efficient, stylish and affordable espresso machine. But be careful: it takes some getting used to, both when cooking and when tasting.
