To my surprise this camera takes great pictures and has really HD 16MP settings. The default is 8MP. I like this ability to capture HD images day and night. My dad likes this camera and it should be the excellent one he wants for hunting. The camera doesn't come with internal memory so it won't work without an SD (Secure Digital) memory card or SDHC card during SD card recording. Before inserting the SD card into the card slot, please make sure the write-protect switch on the side of the SD card is "off" (NOT in the "Lock" position). The user manual said the supported storage capacity is up to 32GB, so I just bought a 32GB SD card for it. Note: If you are using a card larger than 32GB, please make sure to test it before operating the camera, and the manual mentions it. The PIR is also good and up to 65 feet. This feature is really good for night use. If an animal moves in front of the camera, even if it is 20 meters away, it can still be detected by a highly sensitive passive infrared (PIR) sensor and then automatically takes high-quality pictures or HD video clips. This ability is excellent. The strength is not bad. I suggest you use 4xAA or 8xAA high capacity alkaline batteries for the camera.
