Surprisingly helpful.

That's a handy little thing. Used it to connect an iPad to a router for better video calls. Also, an iPad was hooked up to a TV for cloud DVR playback, as the woefully incapable ATT TV app can't stream it wirelessly from iOS. On the other hand, the Ethernet cable seems to be permanently plugged into the socket. No idiot will help. Choose your cable length carefully. The device charges, no problems.
