The Intel Centrino Advanced N6205 WiFi card is the perfect choice for anyone who constantly has trouble connecting to a USB adapter. I used a Linksys USB adapter and for the most part it was fine until I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Drivers running in compatibility mode meant they consistently didn't wake up when the computer woke from sleep. I was frustrated with having to keep rebooting the whole machine just to get the wireless adapter working. With the Intel N6205 adapter, I had no trouble setting it up and installing drivers. The signal with the Linksys USB adapter is only between 2-3 bands out of 5, while the Intel adapter stays at 4-5 consistently. I would recommend this adapter to anyone who has constant problems with their desktop USB adapter.
