THICK but transparent for in-ear headphones

Right now, as I write this, I have the headphones on my head. I'll try to be as brief as possible. My headphone story - I started with Superlux 681 Evos, moved to SHP9500 and then HD6xx. I've used the Bravo v2 tube headphone amps almost exclusively for the last 3 years and powered the 6xx with them. I have found that the amp adds energy to the upper parts of the music. I also used them on the m1070. In the future I plan to buy another amp, but for now I only have this one. I've been using m1070 for about 2 weeks. I've been using HD6xx for 3 years now. Assembly - I like it. A slight creak when putting the head on the left earpiece (after a month this problem disappeared). Can't tell where it's coming from but they seem solid. I don't find the metal too weak. You can bend them, yes, but I'm not trying to bend them and they don't bend on their own. Comfort is hard stuff. but the pads are soft and I have very thick hair. I think it's comfortable enough. Not as comfortable as 6xx. But while the 6xx is 100 percent comfortable for me, that 85 percent is there. When the music starts or the game starts, I usually don't care. The cable is solid. The connections are good and tight. Sound Transmission - It's like you're at a concert where the band is playing and you have the middle seats in the front row. The 6xx feels like I'm the mic and the music comes right into me in a very beautiful and sweet way. They are also very sweet but offer a different serving. I feel like I can hear the room a lot better with it. They are definitely superior in 6xx resolution. I think the soundstage of the m1070 is wider and the picture is pretty narrow. Not terribly analytical, but listening to him really captures the breakup. The main thing is that I can do what I want. It doesn't force me to go into detail. It's pretty nice. They offer more bass extension than 6xx. But they don't offer more treble than 6xx. Can't say there's no haze, so the m1070's upper mids are more advanced. But there isn't much air. TL DR: Compared to the 6xx it has a better soundstage, better definition, no fogging in the upper mids. Bass and lower mids are pushed forward. I like the m1070 better for most music. But in general vocals sound better on hd6xx. I love all aspects of music so I prefer m1070.Gaming: They are awesome. The extra bass punch, the powerful sound stage and the good visualization are convincing. Great for diving. Maybe not enough isolating high frequencies for twitchy FPS shooters for precise footstep sounds. Hey, I don't play these games. I like my roleplays. Conclusion. I really like the m1070. You'll be my idea for a while. But I can't get rid of 6xx. They are different and can live together. But they put a smile on my face as soon as I started making music. Also, I really didn't care to change the pad. They were mega comfortable, but the sound got very hot in distress, and the sweet warmth was gone. I don't regret this purchase at all. These headphones gave me everything I wanted - amazing immersion in whatever interested me. I just wish there was a little more air in the 10k+ frequency range. EDIT: after a month of use. I support pretty much everything like I said before, but felt I should do a quick update on changing pads. I've been listening to velor for a few hours. I like her more than before. Do I like them better than leather upholstery? I do not think so. They offer something different. I take care of her now. Just like skin. I was starting to notice VERY SMALL high peaks on very specific tracks that were tough with the leather pads. When I switched to velor, those spikes almost disappeared. Measuring nothing, here's what the velor pads offer: a smaller soundstage (closer to the width of the HD6xx, but with better imaging), but 10-15 percent more clarity. (Give or take depending on the song). The upper highs and airy areas are more balanced and a bit more defined. Little. Details in the middle range and above are more clearly recognizable. The effect of the subwoofer is slightly reduced. It's not that the subwoofer is gone; It just doesn't sound as full and powerful. Maybe the ultra-low 20-30 Hz will start falling off sooner. But the clarity boost and evening highs are so damn good that for some it might be JUST worth it. Why did I add this change? Well, now I like headphones even more. I love that I can easily switch pads and almost feel like I've gotten my first "new toy" while listening to music. I can see myself switching back and forth every few months and just enjoying the music. 2 TEA SPOONS; DR: The velor pads are great too. Try them out for a few hours. You will be surprised. But gosh, Pleasers are still amazing. It just comes down to preference and having both options included is great. I know headphones are VERY subjective. I wish you all the best on your audio journey!
