This item is fantastic! The main pot that I use SNAP'N STRAIN on is a non-stick pot with a slightly unusual "corrugated" rim. So I was a bit concerned that the SNAP'N STRAIN wouldn't snap securely into place. Although a little tight, it snaps and holds securely to the non-stick sides of the pan. Now I can strain pasta out of a boiling pot just by holding onto the pot handles and I don't have to hold the colander - no more burned hands! I just received the product so I can't confirm the durability. However, I have other silicone utensils and I know they hold up very well to high temperatures and heavy use (unlike my previous PLASTIC colander which just cracked and fell apart after a few years of use).
