The touchscreen feature works best when your phone does not have a screen protector. Just a note. The waterproof lining works wonders and still leaves you with wet gloves the next day. WATERPROOF DOESN'T MEAN WINDPROOF! Cold days will make your hands numb, so hopefully your ride won't last more than 40 minutes or you'll find out.
