Oh I love this pot!. It's not that easy to clean, but it has many other great features. One thing I noticed is that there are safety features that aren't explained in instructions such as: if the cable isn't fully inserted securely the pan will turn itself off. At first I thought it was broken, until after removing the contents I found that the plug had only a loose connection. It was a relief! In addition, when the temperature is high, it will turn off temporarily until it cools down or until you add more items to the pot that lower the temperature. For example, I make an Asian soup for one person, so I first sauté the onion, garlic and meat in sesame oil in a saucepan, then add some water and reduce a little. As it heats up, I see the lights go out, so I know it's time to add the remaining water, spices, pasta, and veggies and bring to a boil. I then turn it off to reheat and add scallops or shrimp and/or toppings like seeds, beans, etc. Because of this recipe, this is the BEST electric pot I have ever had. PS has served more than 6 months. The longest I've ever had and I use it at least 3-4 times a week.
