I installed this behind my TV which is on a flat mount. The straight jack plugs on the plug side didn't allow me to perfectly center my TV on the wall since my outlet is there and the TV mount needs to be positioned directly over the outlet. The right angle connector on it doesn't interfere with the mounting hardware at all and I can position my TV where I want. I needed to position this extension cord over the opening that I run cables from my devices through to the TV. I want my TV to sit flat against the wall instead of leaning forward and fitting a surge protector over the hole made that job perfect. Plug. It's the next best thing, but if you want to flush mount your TV to the wall, you'll need to place it over a hole in the wall to give your TV room to plug in. Very happy with this purchase!
