Review on 🔇 H-P Products 8080 Black Central Vacuum Muffler with Internal Exhaust on Side by Oscar Colangelo

I received this item thinking it wouldn't help much. I mean. It's a tube full of foam. Hello boy, I was wrong. I have a crappy vacuum cleaner with a bucket in a 12 foot by 12 foot room and it must be approaching infinity decibels. I thought this unit was generally noisy, but upon closer inspection it turned out that there were several main sources of loudness: - Top vent (pretty loud) - Exhaust hose (oh my god, ears hurt) - Noise coming through the Housing bucket is coming ( Minor) The thing doesn't even fit my vacuum cleaner, but even when I hang it on a child like a size 16 shoe, the noise at the outlet hose still drops to almost nothing. It's so quiet I can't even hear it through the vent. The rest I put in a cardboard box with thick sound deadening foam, but then I lined the box with 1/4" thick cedar board to balance on a fancy meter. tl;dr It works really well, on the outlet hose, the is loudest. Just make sure you've identified if there are multiple sound sources and solve them one by one.
