I have been grooming my horse's hooves for over 30 years. I keep my horses barefoot because they don't really need shoes. Years ago my blacksmith at the time taught me how to do this (he said it wasn't rocket science) and that way I could keep it running most of the time and he only had to go out twice a year. However, I don't stand as tall as I did over 30 years ago and this product is PERFECT for saving me from new chiropractor visits! It's very durable, easily swappable "heads" and is exactly what I was hoping for! Although it comes from "Plastic", it's heavy metal, not plastic at all. Tip: If you choose to trim your horse's hooves yourself, remember that you don't have to trim all 4 hooves in the same day - two hooves a day is enough for a mustang and one for an 8-month-old filly. Instead of fighting, we end up on a lucky note, and it gets easier over time. The other 4 will stand still and let you get it over with.
