Review on 💻 ELSRA USB Wired ControlPad PK-2068 - Black (23 Key, 2-Level Programmable, 2 USB Hub) for Windows - Numeric Keypad with Programming Capabilities by Joz Lowe

This sturdy little keyboard is easy to program, each key can hold up to 30 characters. And 3 bar combinations like Ctrl+Shift+-(Ctru plus Shift plus -) seem to only count as one character in this limit - at least according to the program's character counter. You can see in the attached photo that I set mine up for use with a special computer program (for indexing genealogical records). The two buttons labeled AHK on the bottom left trigger AutoHotkey actions which I programmed separately and which assign more complex actions to specific key combinations, so yes, this works with AutoHotkey. Keystrokes are very quiet and satisfying. Support wise, I had trouble activating modifier keys (Ctrl, Shift, etc.) with said double click, possibly due to an issue with my mouse, but the third click worked for me. I contacted support and they were very responsive and helpful. I ordered a second PK-2068 to use with another program we use regularly at home. Considering the price and considering its features and limitations I am very happy with the value and effectiveness of this product for my purposes and would highly recommend it for use in situations like this. FYI I created the small photo paper labels by creating a table in MS Word with a cell size of 0.56" x 0.56" (after experimenting) and using the AlternateGothic2 BT font with a font size of 11 for most of the cells have used. Clear keycaps and a key remover are included with the device and can be easily removed, labeled and used to replace the clear keycap.
