You need to open the circuit board from the old drive to this new drive. It's not for the faint of heart. Unless you have at least average experience repairing sensitive electronics, you should not attempt this. However, I was able to complete the job and get our trusty Xbox 360 working again. So it's a good deal, but be aware that it's not really plug and play. Make sure it is the same hard drive model as your system.
