Pros: built-in 4TB hard drive, fast NVMe slot (1500 reads, 2400 writes), good cooling, Thunderbolt Skip through, USB ports are plentiful and Displayport. This thing has all the ports, bells and whistles you could want in a hub. Cons: very noisy. The device can get very hot and there is no way to control the built-in fans. The hard drive is also very loud. On MacOS, you can mitigate this somewhat by unmounting the drive. I've also encountered various errors and kernel panic attacks occurring when the hub was plugged in. USB devices were tricky too - for example, my Corsair mechanical keyboard and M65 mouse didn't work properly when plugged into my Sabrent USB 3 hub (which was then plugged into a FireCuda). My other Vava Mobile Dock has never had this problem. Also, the audio interface I used with the Thunderbolt transfer had BIG issues during the recording session and had to be restarted to work properly. Again, I've never experienced these issues with my other hubs I've used in the past. In theory, this is a fantastic hub. In practice, however, this is not the best result. Perhaps those using Intel Macs or Windows will have a different experience, but for more advanced Apple Silicon users, I'd opt for a more robust hub like the Caldigit TS3 Plus.
