I've been building my own computers since the early XT clones and have NEVER had bad memory issues. I am leading a distributed computing project on this particular machine (World Community Grid) and have been since its inception. This is a CPU-intensive project, but one that places fairly heavy demands on the machine's memory. However, I am running this project on multiple computers and have been for 10 years. The machine I'm writing this on right now is an old Intel i-2600k that has been running WCG since it was built - several times longer than 2 years. And neither this nor any other machine ever had memory failures, as confirmed by MemTest86. Therefore, if the reliability and longevity of your storage is important to you, I would advise you to choose another vendor.
