My rats aren't the smartest in the cabbage patch. If the rats came from the cabbage fields. I'm sure mine did. Because they have rocks instead of brains. They didn't know what it was and refused to touch it until a few months after I adopted the first two, I had a third rat and immediately demanded a hammock. The other two eventually decided to climb in and have been spending most of their sleep there ever since! so much so that I got myself a second one. 10/10
