Review on Bilstein 24 185783 5100 Shock Absorber by Jeff Jackson

Very disappointed with this purchase. All online sources including Revain show this to be the damper that fits my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4. I even confirmed that with Bilstein. I scratched my head trying to figure out why installing this shock felt like trying to squeeze 10 pounds of sugar into a 5 pound sack. To install. I've installed several shocks in the past and never had much trouble getting them back in place. I was so confused about this I checked the numbers on the box and shocks thinking I had mixed up but all the numbers are checked. Now when I have cargo in the bed of a truck and hit a decent bump in the road, I can hear and feel the bumps bottoming out. If I had to do this over and over again I would choose the 4600 series or another brand. These shocks keep my 1500 handling like a 3/4 ton truck and do no better job of handling load, load sag or ride quality than a worn out Monroe Reflex that has come loose from the truck. Notice how intricate the trunk is in the second picture. I had to lower the trunk to make it look right.
