Do your homework, check Bilstein (24-185783) Series 5100.

So Bilstein shocks aren't the cheapest out there, we all know that. If this is an important factor in your decision-making process, go ahead. However, these are some of the best shocks out there, period. This is the correct part number for a standard Dodge 2500 3500 RAM. For those who had problems with this, I sympathize with you, it's unfortunate, but it happens with every manufacturer from time to time!

Perfect fit and a nice ride improvement.

Great hits. My original factory shocks were fine, but at 200,000+ miles they weren't as durable. I dived my nose a bit under braking, wobbled a bit when cornering tight corners. The ride wasn't bad, but it was time to replace the original dampers. These Bilstein shock absorbers work well. I have almost no nose dive under braking, much more stability in tight corners and I also notice that the ride is smoother. They were installed on the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 8.1L.

Good performance. for shock absorbers

No complaints so far. They seem pretty strong. Installed them about 4 months ago and drove around North America with a very heavy load. There are no complaints about the performance. Hopefully they have good shelf life. The time will show. Update October 2018: Well, one of the shocks failed the durability test. It's covered in oil, as is the axle underneath. No doubt the seal came out and is no good now. I drive my pickup very little. Very unfortunate that this shock only lasted about a year…

I'm a lifelong Bilstein fan. Would have .

I'm a lifelong Bilstein fan. I've had the same model for 6 months and have swapped everything. Bushings, ball joints, tie rods, anything that could wear out, including front shock absorbers. In the rear I replaced ONLY the shocks with coil spacers on my 2001 Suburban 1500 LS. NO MATTER! Rides on rails! I'll do the hubs later, but never use another car with anything other than Bilstein shocks/struts. If you think about it! JUST DO IT! They were installed on a 2001 Suburban LS 1500 with a 1.5"…

NOT SUITABLE FOR STOCK 2001 2500 V8 RAMS

I saw a couple of reviews saying it doesn't work on their truck and thought psh hey it says it does for trucks with a 1 inch hub is what you don't have to have the right vehicle or application. Well guess what, now I can say from personal experience THAT WILL NOT FIT THE STOCK 2001 DODGE RAM 2500 PICKUPS! Probably all 2nd generation standard height Rams won't hold up, the shock is literally about two inches longer. Now I wasn't a fool and set it up anyway like some people do. But even if the…

HONEST REVIEW - Shocks, Struts and Suspension

Very disappointed with this purchase. All online sources including Revain show this to be the damper that fits my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4. I even confirmed that with Bilstein. I scratched my head trying to figure out why installing this shock felt like trying to squeeze 10 pounds of sugar into a 5 pound sack. To install. I've installed several shocks in the past and never had much trouble getting them back in place. I was so confused about this I checked the numbers on the box and shocks
