Review on Bilstein 24 185783 5100 Shock Absorber by Shawn Hill

I saw a couple of reviews saying it doesn't work on their truck and thought psh hey it says it does for trucks with a 1 inch hub is what you don't have to have the right vehicle or application. Well guess what, now I can say from personal experience THAT WILL NOT FIT THE STOCK 2001 DODGE RAM 2500 PICKUPS! Probably all 2nd generation standard height Rams won't hold up, the shock is literally about two inches longer. Now I wasn't a fool and set it up anyway like some people do. But even if the strap is fully compressed when it comes out of the box, the thing is still TOO LONG. I will return to Bilsteins B4600 as the products they offer are GREAT QUALITY but I recommend you change the description of it as again it DOES NOT APPLY TO STANDARD HEIGHT SHIPPING UNITS! It's also a shame they didn't make the 4600 series in that beautiful matte chrome finish. Yellow just isn't my color
