Review on ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ ABN Ball Joint, Tie Rod, and Pitman Arm 5-Piece Tool Kit - Efficient Separator for Cars and Light Trucks by Roger Diaz

Good set - instead of him she hit the knuckle with a sledgehammer

Good set of three pickle forks. After hitting and prying the tool for some time to separate the knuckle from the lower ball joint, the tool broke at the point where the single handle threads into the yoke. However, by that time I had also bent another brand's marinating fork, so I don't blame that tool for this error - it had taken a couple of hours at that point. Incidentally, what finally helped loosen the knuckle from the ball joint, which was 'sticking' with 14-year-old rust, was a little penetrating oil and a sledgehammer, which I repeatedly pounded (and I don't mean dear taps) with the sides of the steering knuckle next to the appropriate ball joint/tie rod end, which will push the ball joints (and tie rod ends) straight out - after all, a cucumber yoke isn't even necessary! The blow of the hammer blow weakens them. Also note that if you use a sole fork like this you will most likely rip the dust boot on the old ball joint or tie rod end.
