I'm not exactly a beginner artist, rather an average one. Recently I've started selling my work. I usually paint with acrylic paints on canvas. Anyway, I found this paper too absorbent. Maybe you need to apply a few coats of plaster first? I also tried using acrylic pencils on it and it was a disaster. The paper wrinkled badly. I may try watercolors again, but I definitely won't be buying back to work with acrylics.
