Too wide to fit between posts. Poor packaging design

Sounds great but stupid. Every house in America has 16 inch wooden studs in the middle and they form a 16 1/2 inch long center channel. There was enough room in the speaker to shrink it down to 15-1/2" without sacrificing performance. The cleats I would have to cut hold the huge TV in place. I'll be using a regular Elac driver in the center and let's see how it goes.
