The router did not cut smoothly at all

I work a lot with wood for products with curved or other non-straight sides. For these items, I often make a pattern out of MDF by cutting and sanding it on a band saw or using other methods. I then cut the actual piece of wood into shape on a band saw and then attached the template to the piece of wood. Finishing is done on the router table with a flush cutter. This usually gives a nice smooth surface. That's why I bought this beat. I've used it on 1-7/8" wood. The wood was trimmed down to about 1/16" to be shaped very neatly on the bandsaw so very little had to be removed. This bit gouged wood and chopped and, in short, ruined my piece of wood. It won't run flat at all. It was maple, by the way, a good, fine-grained wood. Stunned, I then used my 2" straight edge router for the rest of the piece. She did worked well.I was very disappointed with the expensive spiral grooving machine.I would advise you to stay away from her.
