QA slipped on that.
Although the packaging and everything looked great, the fit wasn't perfect. The article consists of 3 parts. Main body, brass ferrule and nut. The inner diameter of the nut is not suitable for 3/8 metal pipe. The tip and body were fine. I resorted to boring out the nut with a .375 drill and press. After that it worked fine.
