There is a right way to open it.
There is a very easy way to open the filter, the instructions should come with the product, but I found the instructions on YouTube as I was having trouble opening it myself. The spout moves from left to right, slide it all the way to the right, place the opening tool on the block and push in the opposite direction each time. Also, the complaints about algae are related to the transparent body option and light penetration, I think. I have noticed that our health including that of our pets has improved after using this device. More energy and vitality.
