I have mixed feelings about this Hoover OnePwr MAX blade vacuum. I needed another vacuum, but to be honest I bought this vacuum because I have several other items from the Hoover OnePwr line. I have 4 other batteries that will work with this as they are all interchangeable. And since I'm very happy with the other products I have from this line, I figured this would be a good choice. I'll say that, I'm very glad I have extra batteries for this thing! The reason is that if you select the Plus option, which gives you a performance boost, the battery only lasts about 3 minutes. Yes, you heard that right, THREE MINUTES! When I first assembled this, which we'll talk about in a moment, I had 3 fully charged batteries in the docks waiting to be opened. They have all been fully charged and are all 4Ah which is the highest test offered and I have tested everything. Also, when you insert the battery, 4 bars on the vacuum cleaner will light up letting you know you're at full power, then get smaller as you use it. I turned it on, then hit the plus button for turbo and started vacuuming. And then 3 minutes later he died. I thought I accidentally hit the power button or something, so I turned it back on. It turned off immediately...low battery....I tried 2 more times, both times immediately switched to the plus button and I got the same results, the battery died within 3 minutes! That being said, on a regular diet I can get about 20-22 minutes with the brush off and about 16-18 minutes with the brush on. Basically, if you ever plan on using the turbo function, you'll definitely need extra batteries! On the negative side, there was no instruction manual or assembly instructions in the box. They gave me two quick guides, so I'm wondering if maybe it was a coincidence and one should be a guide. But in the quick start guide there are no assembly instructions or anything like that anyway. It wasn't difficult to put together, but it took me a while to figure out what went where. All of the accessories that come with this vacuum cleaner turned out to be very poor quality and made from inferior materials. Especially the wall mount, which is basically super thin plastic that breaks at the slightest bump. I also don't like the design of the dust box and the filter. There is very little space between the filter and the canister so I can't even get my fingers in with dirt and hair getting stuck between them. Gotta go and get a pencil or something to peel off the jerk and stuff. Now that the bad is gone, the good is there. The suction power for a handheld vacuum is amazing! Even without turbocharging, the suction power is fantastic. The day before I swept my carpeted floor with my corded vacuum and it lifted a whole basket full of hair and dust from the carpet! Seriously, the thing was completely filled! Crazy! And with the included turbo, it's even more powerful! This is the first handheld vacuum that works really well on my carpets! The overall design is light and maneuverable. All parts are simply and securely connected to each other. I really like the trash cans on the side. It's definitely different than the others but you get used to it pretty quickly and now I really prefer it. This vacuum's head and brushroll are smaller than any I've ever owned, but I really prefer it! I can penetrate areas I previously couldn't with others I've had in the past. There's also a light on the front that works really well and allows you to see things you normally can't see. All in all, it's definitely not ideal. You will definitely need more batteries and chargers for this if you want to use the turbo function. But it has truly amazing suction power for a stick vacuum, and any vacuum cleaner at that! I would give 3 1/2 stars if we could do half.
