The water bottle and backpack were great at first

The water bottle and backpack were great at first. It holds plenty of water and fits comfortably in an insulated bag. The backpack is comfortable and perfect for hiking/day use. There's plenty of room for food and clothes - I was even able to fit a pair of tennis shoes in there. Unfortunately, I noticed that the spout started to drip a little on the second day of use. I checked that the bag isn't leaking and that water is still dripping from the suction tube even after it's "blocked". This was after I pressed the suction and placed the lid on it. While this was supposed to prevent the water from dripping, it didn't. On the contrary, the more I used it, the worse it got. After drinking, if the hose wasn't pointing straight up, the water would drip onto my clothes. At first I ignored it, thinking it would stop, but my clothes just got wet. A few days later, the plastic insert also started cracking, which only made the problem worse. I don't know if it was the dry air but overall it wasn't as great as I initially thought. I have no complaints about the backpack, just the hydrator itself.
