2/14/18 Order received quickly. It was very easy to install. All you have to do is remove the metal strap from the existing lifts to detach them from the vehicle. I used a piece of wood to hold the gate. Installing the new jacks was simply a matter of snapping them onto the car's ball joint. There was no need to remove the metal strap from the new ones, they just snapped into place and away you go. They are a little stronger than the OEM parts from what I remember, so a little more power to lower the gate manually, but not too difficult. I'll let you know in a few months but for now I love her!
