I am very impressed with the sound quality of this cute little player. The tuner captures perfectly, especially considering the area I live in. On some stations it has better reception than my car radio. I'm a bit skeptical about a single AA battery and how long it will last. Like some of the other reviewers, I had issues with small earbuds. They are easily shifted when walking, especially when holding the remote control in one hand. The latter is because the earbuds plug into the back of the remote rather than directly into the player. This will twist and tangle the two wires, causing the connectors to twitch. I tried other headsets I had at home and settled on my old-fashioned Panasonic headset with large earcups (but not so big that I couldn't hear them). what is happening around me). Another thing I've found useful is attaching a small remote control to the button of a coat or shirt pocket with the key ring it has on one end. This eliminates the earbud twitching that occurs when the wires are twisted. This method is more accessible to me than the player itself, especially on cold days when I carry the player deep in my thick coat pocket. Now that I've had a little practice, I can just touch it with my finger to get what I want. Everything works like this for me. All in all not a bad toy. I gave it 4 stars because of those problematic earplugs; otherwise it would have received a score of 5. UPDATE: As I suspected, the problem turned out to be an AA battery. Aside from the very short lifespan, there's no audible low-battery warning. The CD suddenly stops playing and that's it. If you press play again, THEN an audible warning will sound. I don't have the ability to change the rating in this form of editing, but if I did I would downgrade it another star to 3.
