I have a huge collection of defective LEDs which, despite the specifications and descriptions, do not quite match the warm, unobtrusive and harmless atmosphere that incandescent bulbs once provided in my garden! I have an extensive lighting system in a large area of landscape with many different lighting functions for subtle atmosphere, lighting and effects. I was just fed up with swapping out lightbulbs and also wanted to reduce the overall system output to save money and carbon footprint. However, every LED I've tried had that bright, nasty, unnatural white glow and no glowing heat until I tried them out on a last-ditch whim of hope. They're the lowest wattage I've found (1 watt), so they're not overly bright, but still provide more than enough efficient lighting when needed. Also, they have a color temperature of 2700 Kelvin, so they're not the same, but close to the slight amber warmth I was looking for. I love her!
