That's "what it is" - inexpensive, lightweight, compact, temporary overshoes for occasional and relatively short-term use. Buy and use it for its intended purpose, not cycling etc. Great for what I wanted to drive through the snow from the airport to the car and from the car to my destination, a few inches of snow at the time but I don't want to carry my boots around , while commuting all the time to work and not checking in my luggage. The soles are flat so they go great with my "running shoes" that I wear most of the time. The synthetic upper is waterproof so it doesn't "breathe" making it unsuitable for prolonged stays in wet/humid environments. The upper is also made of a relatively light material, so not suitable for hiking or long-distance hiking. Fit is important for normal walking and to prevent the upper from sinking underfoot where it certainly won't last long. I'm size XL, fits my shoe size 11 well. 11.5 would probably fit, but I doubt a size 12 will fit. I bought a second pair for another location.
