Amazing Screws: Mounting Screws

Great Screws but buy elsewhere and save yourself the disappointment. First, ignore Revain's photo and description for these screws - it's wrong. These are NOT Phillips screws, but T-Star pan head screws (aka TORX). Nowhere in Revane's description is this made clear. I'm sure it's because whoever wrote the description had no idea of the difference. Much like a lack of care in the crammed and highly questionable reviews you'll find on many products. You can try to bring such things to Revain, but it's useless exercise. TORX vs Phillips vs Single Slot ========================== I prefer T-Star heads as it pretty much eliminates stripping and everting (Bouncing at lower torque) of the Phillips screws. Lately I've pretty much given up using Phillips head screws unless it's a simple project and I already have the size I need. I don't like and don't use pan head screws with a slot and won't use them either as they aren't great at all for anything that requires the slightest amount of torque and they are difficult to center and often slip. On the other hand, T-heads are great, no problem, and fairly self-centering. Personal Use ========== I have these screws in different sizes as I usually buy a box when I need a specific size even if I don't need the whole box for a specific project I am working on, because I always find a use later. I always stock the 1 1/4" and 2" sizes as these are the sizes I use the most. They come in a variety of lengths, but I find that 1-1/4" fits most of my needs. I always order 240 more when I have fewer than 50 screws.
