Like a Magic - Catalytic Converters and Parts

Like many others, my 2006 Prius threw p0420 codes and trusted mechanics told me about California Catalytic Converters that are available and cost $pendy. It took me a while to find a solution but the Prius Chat forums brought me here and the reviews weren't wrong. I was able to call around and find a muffler shop that could cut and weld this together. It took a few tries as some stores wanted to overcharge for it, which I kind of understand because you give them a piece of Amazon - I don't think they care that much and can't mark up. as usual - they might try to tell you it's risky and try to sell you a direct fit or full replacement but I'm glad I wasn't listening. Welding was $125 (that's in a pretty big city, mmv). It's a simple job after all, and it's the part closest to the intake manifold. Driven 500 km, no problems. No return codes and I received DEQ approval and an updated license sticker. Very happy.
