Ok leaving the obvious, if you are looking for a "professional" quality lens then this glass probably isn't for you. BUT, if you are looking for an incredibly beautiful, inexpensive lens with a lot of character: then you, my friend, are in the right place! After several deliberations about buying this lens, I finally pulled the trigger and couldn't help but be happier with my decision. After a month of use, it's quickly becoming the main lens for my X-T2 and won't be changing anytime soon. 7Artisans is one of those small Chinese companies that stayed out of my sight for a while. Their line of lenses isn't great, but for a company founded in 2015, the quality of glass you get for the price is borderline insane. The build quality of this little guy is not something I spent $70 on. It's a little bit better. The aperture wheel is buttery smooth, as is the focus ring. Normally I would have preferred a disc with a membrane and a crisp click, but I quickly got used to it without it. The minimum focus range is somewhere in the 6-7 inch range, making it ideal for product photography or anything that requires fine detail without sacrificing a wider field of view. I haven't really delved into portrait photography, but this is an amazing lens for street photography. That goes for the camera's focus and sharpness (at any aperture) with rich colors and really good bokeh (at f/1.8). good character and popularity. I am very happy with my purchase of this lens and would highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't have the budget to spend $400-500 on a fast wide angle lens.
