I use my XBox One with a curved computer monitor with no sound, so I needed a small speaker system to hear game sounds without having to hook up a large speaker system or use a headset. Nyko SpeakerCom works great. I can turn the volume up loud enough to play without waking up my daughter who is sleeping in the same room without having to put on a headset so I can hear her when she wakes up. going up will submerge the speaker, so I really don't recommend playing at max volume. It doesn't interfere with the game at all and actually helps balance the XBox One controller. I have two complaints and one suggestion preventing me from giving a 5 star review. Complaints: 1. It would be great if there was a toggle to disable chat buttons for people like me who just want a gaming speaker that doesn't care about chat.2. The speaker has a habit of shutting down if you don't hit the chat button from time to time. It's nice that Nyko thought about saving battery, but it's annoying. Suggestion - it's great that the SpeakerCom can be charged separately from the controller, but it would also be great if I could charge them as one device with one cable when the SpeakerCom is connected to the controller. You don't want to charge the controller and SpeakerCom at the same time when connected. You get nasty criticism if you create a charging loop between devices with two power cables. Overall this is a great speaker system for the XBox One and while I don't personally use the chat system it works well. If Nyko releases an updated version of SpeakerCom 2 I will definitely look into it.
