So far the product has been very good. It has worked well when used in the car and the temperature control works well, but I understand there will be fluctuations. I have used this several times over the past six months or so without issue. However, most recently I could not get one side down to a freezer temperature setting. I believe the seal is the issue. Like most seals, if left in the compressed position all the time (top is closed and locked in place), it will take a compression set (it will not return to its normal thickness). I left the top off, flipped upside down when not in use, and the unit worked fine again to maintain temperature. From now on I will leave the lid off, or just flipped upside down, when not in use. Other than that, this refrigerator/freezer has been working great.
