I need this so I don't have to cut a hole in the top of my car. Do not listen to the radio so much that the reception quality, which will not be very good, will not be a problem. The parts of the antenna are wider than the original antenna and where it screws into the base so when installed it looks like a non-original one. With all the adapters and everything included, you would think there would need to be a conical washer or something to either decrease the diameter of the antenna or increase its diameter to cover the screw base to ensure a seamless fit on the antenna to ensure antenna base. The very short connector allows my lid to be installed without cutting holes, so it fits the bill.
