Description of Enhance Your Ford Mustang: AntennaX Super Shorty (1.5-inch) Antenna for Optimal Performance

fits 1979 thru 2009 Ford Mustang. BONUS - Additional (.75 - inch) Antenna Delete Cap included (see pics). Upgrade your factory antenna with this stylish yet functional (1.5 - inch) black powder coated Super Shorty billet aluminum antenna. PLUG-N-PLAY installation, which means it screws onto your existing antenna mount (a direct bolt-on part, no wiring involved) and takes a minute to do. 3 out of 5 reception with most people noticing no difference at all. As a general rule, strong stations will be fine and weak stations will be reduced. Does not affect On-Star, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, or Sirius XM radio as those Satellite services use a separate antenna in your vehicle.

Poor Reception on Car Electronics

Advertised for Excellent Reception. Unfortunately, it can't even receive local stations without interference. Although it was easy to establish the "you get what you paid for" statement. Definitely applies to this article. I will not buy this antenna again.

Pros
  • Great for Me
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Hate big antennas? This is for you

I have no idea if I'm really getting a radio signal with this antenna because I don't listen to the radio, I just got bored with the big antenna in my car and it looked bad without it the antenna. It's perfect, it's super tiny - my car cover fits right on top of it with no issues. No more unscrewing. The only problem I had was that during the installation I had to check almost every screw to find the right one, but overall the installation took 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Modern

Perfect fit for my 2000 Jeep XJ and 2005 Mustang

I'm walking over mountain peaks and through the forest to film for my jeep offroad youtube channel and the factory antenna hit low hanging branches, buckled and then looked awful on my beautiful jeep. The radios also turned off when I started climbing. With this antenna, I don't have to worry about an ugly curved antenna for my videos and I get better and clearer radio reception in the mountains. I bought the same for my daughter's 2005 Mustang. It's also much cleaner than the stock antenna.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Not Fit 2010 Mustang

This product is not an exact replacement for the Original Equipment 2010 Mustang Convertible Antenna. This is a common antenna with multiple screw options to try for your specific vehicle. I ended up drilling through the bottom of the original antenna and using electrical epoxy to attach one of the antenna mounting screws to the bottom of the antenna. I could then reinstall the original antenna to make it look and function like the original antenna. The delivery time was ok, as was the quality…

Pros
  • Good Price
Cons
  • Expensive

A good replacement for the antenna under the cover, but not a perfect fit.

I need this so I don't have to cut a hole in the top of my car. Do not listen to the radio so much that the reception quality, which will not be very good, will not be a problem. The parts of the antenna are wider than the original antenna and where it screws into the base so when installed it looks like a non-original one. With all the adapters and everything included, you would think there would need to be a conical washer or something to either decrease the diameter of the antenna or…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Nothing
