Review on Renewed Apple iPhone 8 (US Version, 64GB, Space Gray) - Unlocked and Ready to Use by Bali ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Smartphones from Apple I did not like before 5s because of their "brick" shape. But when there was a "six" I immediately wanted to buy it. But when I found out about the "stuffing", which does not differ significantly from previous models, I changed my mind. The manufacturer released 6s, then 7, and I got acquainted with the reviews and realized more and more that this was not mine. With the presentation of the G8, I again became interested in smartphones from Apple. After reading many reviews, tests, articles, etc., I realized that this smartphone is really perfect. But I was faced with a choice: iPhone 8 or Google Pixel 2. I would buy a second one if it were officially sold in our country. There used to be some stereotype about the "Yabloko") Still, the iPhone can now be seen in every 3rd. With Pixel 2, I would like to stand out, I guess. I repeat that I did not regret that I bought the iPhone 8. Today, when a number of flagships have closely approached each other in terms of those. characteristics, the emphasis is on design. I will not write how many parrots flagships gain in benchmarks, how all kinds of programs evaluate phone cameras, etc. It is impossible to single out a phone that is head and shoulders above all the others, like 7 years ago. Now we make choices based on design or personal beliefs. * "Gray" refers to goods illegally imported into the country. A list of official retailers in your city can be found on the Apple website. However, the "gray" phone is not a fake. It is very easy to distinguish a certified iPhone from a "gray" one: the box says in 2022 what is included in the kit, the supplier "Apple Rus" is indicated, the model is usually A1905 (for iPhone 8), the batch number, in which there are two letters RU, EAC sign; check IMEI. If you decide to buy a "gray" model, buy the European version. Because there may be communication problems with the American one, and there is no NFC at all on the Japanese one and there is no way to turn off the sound of the camera shutter. In addition, you will not receive an official guarantee in your country. I hope my review helps in some way)

Pros
  • In fact, this is the perfect modern phone. 1) Design. I bought a phone 2 weeks ago, but I still can't stop admiring the appearance) I have a white color. For such a phone, it is better to choose a thin silicone case. Probably the most beautiful smartphone I have ever seen. 2) Screen. Amazing screen. I like IPS more than Amoled. In addition, this is no longer the IPS that was in earlier models. I was very pleased with the True Tone technology: the white balance adjusts to daylight, night or indoor lighting. The phone is convenient to use. In my opinion, this is an essential addition to the latest iPhones. 3) Speed and performance. We can say that everything flies) If the Wi-Fi connection is good, then the pages are loaded in a split second. Actually, the new processor for the iPhone 8 and X is known to be the most powerful in the world. Read about it on the Internet. Benchmarks, of course, confirmed this fact. There are rumors that there are some glitches before the 1st ate. I didn't notice them. 4) Convenient interface. But this is subjective. If you like changing desktop icons, then this is clearly not for the iPhone. But I don't see the need for it. The iPhone 8 has a very simple and user-friendly interface. You don’t have to rack your brains and look for an alarm clock, as in many Android smartphones) Personally, I switched to iPhone 8 after six years of using the ancient Samsung Wave 723 model based on Bada OS (maybe someone else remembers this OS), and the new phone is However, I got used to it very quickly. 5) Camera. You can’t immediately tell how the photos taken on the iPhone 8 differ from the photos taken with the camera. Search the Internet for an article about how one professional photographer took 2022 photos on the G8 and 8 Plus, as well as a comparison with the iPhone 7 camera) 6) Sound quality. Also on top. In general, a wonderful smartphone) I don’t know what awaits us in the future, but the iPhone 8 has exceeded all my expectations. Maybe because I walked with a dinosaur for a long time, but it's still hard to ignore the advantages of this smartphone)
Cons
  • I did not reveal significant shortcomings, but I got acquainted with those that other users usually highlight. Still, basically these shortcomings are purely subjective or related to the fact, as I noticed that people got into the hands of a "gray" model (more on this in the comment). Let's list some: 1) Battery. If you read the specifications, you might be surprised how such a flagship has only 1.8K mAh. However, the manufacturer has optimized the performance of the processor. My battery lasts 1.5-2 days. But I don’t play games, but I wouldn’t say that I rarely pick up my phone: browser, social. networks, instant messengers, a camera - for everything, this seems to be the norm. But I would like more, of course. However, this problem is relevant for many top-end smartphones. My advice: turn off location services, so autonomy will increase noticeably. 2) The phone is slippery. Well, what else can you expect from a phone with a glass body. 3) There is no wireless charger included. But imagine what the volume of the box with the phone would be if you put wireless charging in there. I think this problem can be easily solved by buying a high-quality and affordable wireless charger. 4) Price. In my opinion, it's stupid now to criticize Apple for the high price. Look at other manufacturers: even the prices for the top "Chinese" are the same as for the latest iPhones, what can we say about smartphones from Samsung, LG, HTC, etc. Just don't buy a smartphone right at the start of sales. In a month or two, it will still become significantly cheaper, even if the company has not presented new gadgets. It makes sense to hurry up) Although I agree about the price of the iPhone X, the G8 is essentially the same, only it differs in the screen, the way data is protected (if you are not worried about whether the Pentagon is watching you or not, then what's the difference whether you use Touch or Face ID. Whoever is comfortable, as for the screen). Other "disadvantages" are either completely subjective, or are associated with the purchase of a "gray" model.
