I recently bought this for my niece (who lives abroad in France). I bought her a professional hair dryer (Conair Yellow Bird) during her annual summer visit before realizing that the US plug cannot be used at home. I did some quick research and realized I would need both an adapter and a voltage converter if she wasn't going to toast her new hair dryer or worse and after looking at several combo converters at Revain I settled on this one. The package arrived within a few days and I was very happy with the size and light weight of the product as I didn't want anything too heavy in her luggage. She called me in high spirits and came home one day to tell me the plug was a perfect fit and the hair dryer worked great - all 1875 watts! She also packed it for a couple of quick trips she took while in Europe and it worked great in every location. I asked her if the heat quality was the same as in the US - she said yes. One thing I will repeat here - although it has been said very clearly in various places in the product description - this device will NOT work with straighteners. Luckily her father travels a lot and has a suitable/working converter that works with the iron I also bought her, but buyers should keep this in mind and read the detailed product description provided by the seller here on the Revain website provides. (There are some exceptions for irons that may work for some). As for my niece - this combo adapter/converter worked great - I would recommend. Very happy with the purchase and the price was very reasonable.
